Rouge Griotte (that in french means “cherry red”) is a very deep red coloured marble in which we could find little white veins and dots, called “partridge eye”.
This stone is extracted in Aude, France. Also known as “king red”, it has always attracted worldwide designers and was used to build many of King Louis XIV’s buildings.
It has been used to build some of the most important places of the world like “Le Gran Trianon” in Versailles, the “Opéra” in Paris and the “Carrousel” in Louvre.
